UNRISD is pleased to announce that the Government of Germany has agreed to finance a Junior Professional Officer (JPO) position at the Institute, for Climate Change, Employment and Social Development. German nationals are eligible to apply for this position.
The Junior Professional Officer programme offers young professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with international organizations. At the same time, the programme provides invaluable assistance to international organizations in their activities.
The JPO will assist UNRISD with ongoing work on the social dimensions of sustainable development and, in particular, will initiate exciting new work in the area of climate change and social development, with a particular focus on the implications of climate change and policy responses for poverty, inequality and other social development outcomes. We anticipate that one core channel of impact will be employment and labour market implications, while social policies will also have a critical role in determining the outcomes of environmental processes and policy responses.
Applications for this position are now closed.
