Simon Gewölb

Former Intern (Research)

Simon joined UNRISD in May 2015 to conduct research within the “Potential and Limits of Social and Solidarity Economy” project. Prior to that, he interned at several multinational companies, where he worked on the development of global sustainability strategies. He also worked for the Manos Verdes Foundation in Argentina, which focuses on environmental education and global knowledge transfer and served as an International Electoral Observer of the Organization of American States in Costa Rica.

Simon holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Göttingen, Germany, with a strong focus on topics related to Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development. Being a scholar of the German National Merit Foundation, he was able to fulfil a part of his studies in Switzerland, Colombia and Costa Rica. Having spent one of these terms at the United Nations mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, he now aspires to pursue a master degree in development economics and international development.
