Emma Malcolm

Former Intern

Emma Malcolm joined UNRISD in May 2012 to assist Research Coordinator, Ilcheong Il and Research Analyst, Olive Cocoman on the ‘Making International Development Cooperation Effective’ Project.
Emma is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Development Studies at York University in Toronto, Canada. Her thesis will explore the expectations and engagement strategies of ‘oil communities’ for industry-led community development in Ghana. Her current research interests include: corporate-community engagement, CSR and development, business-society relations and issues around extractive industries in sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to joining UNRISD, Emma worked in varying positions with Friends of the Earth International, Ghana, Making Africa Work, Kenya, and Health Development Initiatives, Rwanda.
