Former Intern (Research)
Premila joined UNRISD as a Research Intern in January 2017. She assists Senior Research Coordinator Katja Hujo with the project "Politics of Domestic Resource Mobilization for Social Development".
Prior to joining UNRISD, Premila obtained her Master’s degree in ‘Health Economics, Policy and Management’ from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her dissertation analysed the relationship between financial inclusion and child mortality outcomes.
Premila is a qualified chartered accountant. Most recently she worked at Save the International Children (SCI), travelling globally to review their country programs and risk management frameworks. She also supported the set-up of cash transfer programming in Nepal as part of SCI’s 2015 earthquake emergency response.
