P.S. Vijay Shankar

Former Collaborating Researcher

P.S. Vijay Shankar collaborated with UNRISD on the project Poverty Reduction and Policy Regimes (2007-2010) for which he wrote a paper on Rethinking Reforms: A New Vision for the Social Sector in India in collaboration with Mihir Shah as part of the country-level research team. At the time of this collaboration, Shankar was Director of Research of Samaj Pragati Sahayog (SPS), an NGO based in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. His areas of interest are water resource management, sustainable agriculture, and strengthening of community-based, equitable and self-reliant peoples’ institutions.
