Anna Hemmingson

Former Research Assistant

Anna worked as a research assistant associated with the project Ethnic Structure, Inequality and Governance in the Public Sector. She was also the coordinator for an external project; Finnish Aid - Partner Review. Anna has a BA in political science from the university of Linkoping, Sweden, one year of which she spent as an exchange student at York University in Toronto. She then took an MA in social science at the International School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. She majored in International Relations and wrote her thesis on the portrayal of Kosovo Refugees in the UK press. Whilst studying for the MA she undertook an internship at UNHCR in Geneva, where she monitored the Human Rights Treaty Bodies. She also has experience as a research assistant in the media and communication faculty of the University of Amsterdam.
