Jing joined UNRISD in July 2009 as an intern working with Shahra Razavi and Silke Staab under the Gender and Development programme within the institute. She assisted with the preparation of programme papers and edited volumes for the Political and Social Economy of Care project.
Prior to joining UNRISD, Jing completed a Masters in Social Anthropology of Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London (2007/2008). Her interest in Development lies in Gender with her 2008 thesis focusing on the specific gendered impacts of China's One Child Policy felt by rural male farmers one generation on. Jing is also a volunteer school speaker for Oxfam.
At the time of her internship, Jing was studying a Masters in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge (UK).
