Sarah was a research intern for the Social Policy and Development Programme. She graduated from the University of Southampton, in the UK, where she focused on the study of Development Geography. She has worked as a Research Assistant for the University of Southampton on a project which explored the intersection between global governance regimes and labour practices in the ethical trade sector in Sri Lanka. She went on to Intern at the International Labour Organisation, based in Geneva, within the Social Dialogue department and later worked as a Research Assistant within the same department on a project which looked at the gender pay gap. Sarah joined UNRISD in March 2013 to assist Ilcheong Yi in the Towards Universal Social Security in Emerging Economies project.
