Ricardo Nogales Carvajal
Ricardo joined UNRISD in August 2007. He worked with Naren Prasad on the construction of the Social Policy Index and focused on the quantitative (econometric) methods involved in the project.
Ricardo holds a 4-year university degree in Economics (license) with major in Monetary and Financial Economics and a Masters degree in Economics with major in Econometrics, both from the University of Geneva. During his masters/ license dissertation he focused on the bolivian micro-financial system, it’s determinants, it’s characteristics and it’s contribution to bolivian society, based on risk and uncertainty economic theory. During his studies, Ricardo participated in an Applied Economics workshop where he developed a quantitative model on the determinants of self-assessed health in Switzerland.
Ricardo studied at the University of Geneva with a full scholarship granted by the bolivian private foundation “Simón I. Patiño”.
