Alicia Ely Yamin is a member of the Advisory Group
for the UNRISD project Linking Social Protection and Human Rights. At the time of her collaboration with UNRISD, Yamin is a Lecturer on Global Health and Policy Director at the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University. Her twenty-year career at the intersection of health, human rights, and development has bridged academia and activism.
Yamin has received multiple distinctions for her work on maternal health and sexual and reproductive health and rights. In addition to publishing articles and books in English and Spanish, she has advised both practitioners on strategic litigation and judges and Courts in relation to enforcement across the globe.
