Ruth Meena

Former Collaborating Researcher

Ruth Meena collaborated with UNRISD as part of the Tanzanian research team for the UNRISD project on Political and Social Economy of Care. She is a feminist activist and researcher and at the time of her collaboration with UNRISD was Professor Emeritus at the University of Dar es Salaam, where she was a long-standing member of the Department of Political Science. She has also managed an Innovative Learning Centre and has taught at the University of Florida (as a Fulbright fellow), Beloit College, and been a visiting fellow at the University of Stanford as well as at the Chr. Michelson Institute in Norway.
