Elizabeth Jelin

Elizabeth Jelin is a Senior Researcher at CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cientificas y Técnicas of the University of Buenos Aires. She obtained a PhD in Sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. She was the Academic Director of the Program on "Collective Memories of Repression: Comparative Perspectives on Democratisation Processes in Latin America's Southern Cone" sponsored by the Social Science Research Council, New York, 1998-2002. Professor Jelin is a member of the editorial committees of a number of journals and publications in the field of social sciences.
