Former Intern (Research)

Danish joined UNRISD in August 2018 as a Research Intern to assist with the Social Policy and Development programme, in particular with the project New Directions in Social Policy: Alternatives from and for the Global South. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. His thesis, titled "Student Activism in India: Solidarities, Resistances and Imaginations for a Common Future", investigates how collective action by students may dilute and dissolve inequalities of caste, class, religion and gender amongst them.

His primary research interests are gendered dimensions of inequality, social movements and civil society activism.
