Armando Barrientos

Armando Barrientos is Lecturer in Public Economics and Development at the Institute for Development Policy and Management at the University of Manchester, UK. His research focuses on welfare and social protection, and he has published a number of papers on pension and health reforms in Latin America, and on the well-being and vulnerability of older workers and their households. He is a joint convenor of the Ageing and Development Study Group of the Development Studies Association in the UK.
