Azzurra joined UNRISD in May 2014 to assist with the project on “Social Policy and Migration”.
Prior to coming to UNRISD, she interned as Research Assistant at the office of Independent Social Performance, Singapore, for a research project on extractive industries and local communities engagement. Also, she interned at Forum for the Future, UK, carrying out a research project on innovative sustainable business models.
Azzurra holds an MA in Development Studies from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and an MSc in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester, UK. During her studies she focused on labour issues and migrant workers’ agency within global production networks, especially in the Middle East.
