Sylvie Durrer

Sylvie Durrer is Director of the Swiss Federal Office for Gender Equality.

She served on the UNRISD Board from July 2017 through June 2021.

Previously Ms. Durrer was Chief of the Cantonal Office for Gender Equality in Vaud (2006-2011); and Co-Director of the Doctoral Programme in Gender Studies at the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne (2001-2004). She has also been Assistant Professor of French Linguistics at the University of Lausanne (2001-2006) and at the University of Zurich (1992-1996).
