Ludymila Schulz Barroso

Ludymila Schulz Barroso participated in the Call for Papers "Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals: What Role for Social and Solidarity Economy?" which was launched by the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) in 2018 and organized by UNRISD.
At the time of collaboration, Ludymila Schulz Barroso was a nutritionist with a master’s degree in rural development. She was the Director of the Food Division at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in southern Brazil, where she was coordinating six university restaurants, serving 11,000 meals per day. In this position she implements a public policy called Food Acquisition Program, which fosters the acquisition of healthy foods produced by family farmers and thereby contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially around economic, social and nutritional dimensions.
