Former Intern (Research)
Luisa Guerra joined UNRISD in July 2018 as a Research Intern to assist with the Social Policy and Development programme, in particular with the project Overcoming Inequalities in a Fractured World: Between Elite Power and Social Mobilization. She is currently pursuing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree on Macroeconomic Development and Finance, shared between the Berlin School of Economics and Law (Germany), the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) and University of Paris 13 (France), as a part of the programme Economic Policies in the Age of Globalization (EPOG).
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), where she worked as a research assistant on issues related to social policy, poverty and inequality and was part of the research group Social Policy and Financialization. She has also pursued an academic exchange with Sciences Po (France), where she acquired a certificate in European Affairs and a certificate in International Affairs and Strategy. Her main interests include social development, social policy, poverty and inequality.
