Viroj Tangcharoensathien is carrying out research on social policy in Thailand in co-operation with Waranya Teokul and Lalita Chanvongpaisarn. The research is carried out within the UNRISD project
Social Policy in Late Industrializers: Transforming the Welfare State in East Asia. Using the case of Thailand’s health policy, it will answer whether the Thai social system has moved toward a developmental and socially inclusive welfare state.
