Former Collaborating Researcher
Veronica Pearson collaborated with UNRISD for the project Social Policy in Late Industrializers: Transforming the Welfare State in East Asia, 2002-2004, for which she conducted research on the institutional dynamics of welfare developmentalism in Hong Kong.
At the time of her collaboration, she worked at the University of Hong Kong, China. Prior to that she was Principal Psychiatric Social Worker for Southampton and the New Forest in the United Kingdom. She has interests in the areas of gender and disability. Generally she has been concerned about issues of inclusion and exclusion in social life. In the last 15 years she has published 4 books and 52 articles/book chapters in international journals.
