Johnston Birchall

Former Collaborating Researcher

Johnston Birchall collaborated with UNRISD for the workshop Social and Solidarity Finance: Tensions, Opportunities and Transformative Potential where he was a speaker.
At the time of his collaboration, Johnston Birchall was Professor of Social Policy at the University of Stirling, Scotland. His focus is on member-owned businesses (cooperatives, mutuals and economic associations), and public service agencies that involve users in their governance.
