María Angélica Illanes

Former Collaborating Researcher

María Angélica Illanes collaborated with UNRISD for the project Social Policy in Late Industrializers: A Comparative Study of Latin America, for which she wrote a draft paper entitled Política social chilena: una utopía de desarrollo: 1900-1973. She co-authored a chapter Developmental Welfare State and Social Change in Chile in the UNRISD/Palgrave co-published volume Latin America: A New Developmental Welfare State Model in the Making? edited by Manuel Riesco, 2007.
At the time of this collaboration, Illanes was the director of the School of History and Social Sciences at Universidad Arcis in Santiago, Chile and a professor of Social History at the University of Santiago.
