Nora El Qadim

Former Intern

Nora joined UNRISD in May 2006 to work with Katja Hujo in the Social Policy and Development programme on a project that examined mechanisms for financing social policy and poverty reduction in the developing world. More specifically, she studied resources such as mineral rents or remittances.
Nora holds a bachelor’s degree in history and sociology and a master’s degree in history. Her master’s dissertation explored the debates on Muslim education in colonial India.

Whilst at UNRISD she was pursuing a Certificate at the International Studies at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. For her dissertation, she examined Morocco’s negotiations with Europe for the management of migrations.

Nora left UNRISD in October 2006
