Former Collaborating Researcher
Dr. Johny Augustine is a Professor at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Augustine’s research and advocacy focus on the complex interactions between poverty, disaster recovery, and social policy with an emphasis on empowerment oriented social work practice. He recently co-authored an article with Enid Cox entitled “The U.S. Criminal Justice System: A Role for Radical Social Work” in the Journal of Progressive Human Services. The Collaborating Researcher participated in the Call for Papers ""Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals: What Role for Social and Solidarity Economy?"" which was launched by the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) in 2018 and organized by UNRISD.
