Archibald Boyce Mafeje

Archie Mafeje collaborated with UNRISD for the project Civil Society Strategies and Movements for Rural Asset Redistribution and Improved Livelihoods, from 2000 to 2003, for which he wrote a programme paper The Agrarian Question, Access to Land, and Peasant Responses in Sub-Saharan Africa, 2003. At the time of this collaboration, Mafeje was a visiting Professor of Sociology at the American University of Cairo.
Mr Mafeje passed away in March 2007.
