Mihir Shah

Mihir Shah has a PhD in Applied Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, he is currently Secretary of Samaj Pragati Sahayog and a member of the National Executive of the Ministry of Rural Development. He is writing a paper for UNRISD on Welfare Regime, Social Services and
Poverty Reduction in India.
He has written extensively on development issues in India, including the joint publications: “Watershed Reforms in India” by Mihir Shah and P.S. Vijay Shankar in R. Parthsarathy and S.
