Joseph Onjala

Former Collaborating Researcher

Joseph Onjala has a Ph.D. from Roskilde University in Denmark. He is currently an Environmental and Resource Economics Researcher and Lecturer at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Nairobi. He is writing a paper for UNRISD on The Causes, Dimensions and Dynamics of Wealth and Income Inequalities in Kenya.
He has previously worked for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the preparation of the 5th Human Development Report for Kenya 2006, and his publications include, "Economic Growth and Development in Kenya Since Independence" in Ng'ethe N. and W. Owino W. (eds) (2000); “From Sessional Paper No.10 to Structural Adjustment: Towards Indigenising the Policy Debate.”; "Total Factor Productivity in Kenya: The Links with Trade Policy."
